France Cities: Lisieuxhome > cities > LisieuxLisieux, east of Caen, was another town which suffered during WWII, and lost many of its fine wooden houses – though some survived. Today it is best known for the kitsch Basilique de Ste Thérèse with its mosaics which was completed in the 1950s. North is the small town of Pont l’Evêque the home of the powerful cheese of the same name.
